Frequently asked questions.
Do you only work with chronically ill and/or LGBTQIA+ clients?
No. While much of my work centers these communities — because they’re often overlooked in traditional care — I welcome clients of all backgrounds and identities. My priority is creating a space where you feel seen and respected, whether or not you identify with these groups.
Are you HAES-aligned?
Yes. My practice is HAES-aligned, meaning I honor body diversity and autonomy, and I do not pathologize clients based on body size.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
I currently provide care exclusively through secure virtual sessions for clients located in Illinois.
How do I know if we’ll be a good fit?
Therapy is most effective when you feel safe and understood. I’m happy to offer a 15-minute consultation to explore your goals and answer questions about my approach. You can also check out the “We Might Be a Good Match If…” section on my About page.
Do you work with couples, families, or groups?
I offer individual therapy and facilitate the Spoonies Unite Support Space, a group for chronically ill/disabled clients. At this time, I don’t provide couples or family therapy.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $75 fee, and no-call/no-show appointments are subject to a $100 fee, barring a medical emergency. These fees help maintain the integrity of our work together, support the sustainability of this fee-for-service practice, and ensure that both my time and the therapeutic space we share are respected and valued.
