About Me

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual care in Illinois. My practice is grounded in disability justice, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, harm-reductionist, and compassion-focused care. I’m committed to creating a space that feels warm, affirming, and collaborative — a place where the mask can come off, where you don’t have to perform or be “on,” and where you can arrive exactly as you are. In my work, accommodations, active rest, and authenticity aren’t just welcomed — they’re celebrated. I center the lived experiences of those often left behind in traditional care models, including chronically ill and disabled folks, Queer and TGNC people, polyamorous and kinky humans, and those navigating AFAB-specific health conditions like Endometriosis. I’m also COVID-conscious and will never pathologize a client for protecting their health through COVID precautions.

A cornerstone of my work is facilitating the Spoonies Unite Support Space, a virtual therapy group for chronically ill/disabled clients. Supporting Spoonies is not just a clinical specialty — it’s a deep personal passion rooted in my own lived experience. I speak to this, along with the mind-body connection, what it means to feel safe and held in therapy when you're navigating chronic illness and disability, and how to find a therapist who truly gets it, in Episode 78 of The Chronic Illness Therapist Podcast, ‘Building Trust and Safety: What to Look for in a Disability-Affirming Therapist.’

My Approach to Therapy

My work blends somatic, mindfulness-based, and parts work approaches, with a strong foundation in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I’ve also completed specialized training in Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration through Portland Psychotherapy. As a former bodyworker and clinical massage therapist, I bring a mind-body lens to therapy — often incorporating gentle movement, breathwork, and awareness of body, sensation, and emotions into sessions. I believe in meeting clients where they are and collaborating to explore what feels supportive in the moment. Whether we’re coping with chronic conditions, navigating identity, processing grief, or cultivating joy, my goal is to support you in living a more embodied, authentic, fulfilling life, even amid illness, pain, and marginalization. Together, we create space for both the tenderness and the messiness that come with being human.

We Might Be A Good Match If…

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all — and that’s okay. Here’s how you’ll know if my approach might resonate with you:

  • You're living with chronic illness, disability, or marginalization — and want a space where you don't have to explain yourself first.

  • You take COVID precautions seriously — and want a space where that doesn’t need defending.

  • You want to reconnect with your body’s needs and learn to listen to its cues with curiosity and care — and move out of your head and back into yourself.

  • You're not just looking to talk about your emotions — you want to feel and explore them in your body.

  • You're open to mindfulness, body-based practices, and getting gently curious about your inner world.

  • You’re tired of fighting your reality and want support in learning how to move with it, instead of feeling stuck against it.

  • You’re open to being compassionately challenged in service of your growth.

  • You want a therapist who brings both lived experience and clinical skill — someone who can sit with the pain and the real.

  • You’re craving support that honors rest, pacing, and your bodymind's truth — without judgment.

  • You’re interested in processing or making meaning of a psychedelic experience in a supportive, nonjudgmental space.
